I know I'm not alone in that feeling. When you are on the right side of history, it is devastating to be on the wrong side of vote. We are holding our heads high because we have every reason to be proud of how far we have come in our journey to win marriage equality. From the beginning, we felt the best way to change hearts and minds was for LGBT families to share their personal stories. It took courage and resolve for families to open up their lives in such a public way, but they did it because they knew it would move us closer to equality. Such was the case this spring, when Maine legislators and the governor heard personal stories about why being denied the protections of marriage hurts families. And why being denied the respect and dignity of marriage makes children feel their families are less worth. The legislature righted this wrong by passing the marriage equality bill. Many Maine voters have simply not heard these stories yet -- at least not without the drumbeat of lies and attacks from our opponents. While devastated by the recent results, I am encouraged and inspired by the people who put their lives and families on the line for equality. We are committed to working even harder to win the protections and respect we all deserve. We will regroup, assess, and find a new way forward. And in the end, we will win. We stand on the right side of history and soon, history will be on our side. We thank you all of you for your amazing and loving support grounded in education, reason, respect and most of all... hope. Enjoy the little protesting picture here, Bob and Paul

Hi bobalex! Thanks for requesting me as a friend! I love dalmations - they are very sweet. I work in an animal shelter, so I love all animals, but dalmations are some of cutest dogs around. One of my best friends is deaf (since birth)& has been teaching me some sign, but it's hard to remember so many! I can sign the alphabet well, so I often spell out words to her. I love playing against you - you are so good at boggle! An I love your profile pic too. Take care & I'll see you soon!

hi Bob, nice to 'meet' you! I'm a speech therapist by trade and in the course of my studies I've had two deaf professors. Yours is truly a special culture... =)

I watched your slideshow Bob. Beautiful pictures and enjoyed your sharing them with us. Loved the clown photo of you and the clown - clever - came out great. I've never been to Europe, so thanks for sharing the pics.

Dear Bob - thanks for the invite to be one of your board buds. I probably should be on here a wee bit less, but not seeing that occur in the near future. :) Good always to see you on the board and a pleasure to have you as competition! If all else fails, we can come up with the same arrangement I have with boggle meister and chey....one of us wins.....we all win! :) Works for me! Take good care now. Jody

thanks ASM! I never thought this site would become my "2nd home". Great idea to post our profiles. Looking forward to having you push beyond my own borders in boggle games!
