I am a biology professor working in northeastern Pennsylvania. By training I am a behavioral ecologist, studying mainly the evolution of reproductive and mating behavior in birds. I grew up in northern Indiana, and my wife and I recently purchased my family's summer lakefront cottage in northern lower Michigan. We plan to retire there in a few years.

Traverse, about 250 miles from here.. Do have relatives that live in Boyne City, Mich. I believe that is pretty close to Traverse..

I grew up in S. Bend, but havent lived there in 40 yrs. The cottage is near Traverse City, and we spend a couple of months there every summer.
